Great news!

I received some awesome news this afternoon!  My manager called from the Reno Michaels and said that Michaels is having a sale on classes!  So if you sign up for a class or as many classes as you would like too on Saturday, January 11th the cost for the class will be $20.00 instead of the normal $25.00!  Plus when you give them your email address Michaels will email you a $20.00 dollar coupon to use at the store!  So that makes your class free!  This is the best sale I have seen at Michaels!  Now is the time to sign up for my classes!

I won't be at Michaels on that Saturday I will be out of town. But I will have examples of some of my classes to come!  So please go on into Michaels on Saturday, January 11th and sign up for some of my classes!

Hello

I wanted to take a moment and let you all know that I won't be holding any more classes before the holidays.  Life is so busy for us all.  I have listed my January, February and March schedule in hopes that after life settles down from the holidays you will have time to come and paint with us at the Reno Michael's.  Have a wonderful and safe holiday season!  Hope to see you all in the new year!

Sunday, November 11/17 at the Sparks Michael's

I had a fun experience on Sunday morning painting at the Sparks Store.  I was a sub for their instructor.  So I spent a couple of hours painting with these wonderful ladies!  Hope to see them again sometime soon!

Tonight's class 11/04/13

Hello All -

I need to let you know that I have canceled tonight's class,  Thank you for understanding.

Class on Monday, November 4th 6:00 - 8:00

This Monday we will be painting a plate of pumpkins!  This is a great way to start off the Thanksgiving season.  If you can't find a wooden plate please fell free to find something you would like to paint the scene on.  Maybe a serving tray, a basket anything you like!  Hope to see you at class.  Please don't forget you can sign up on line at Micheals.com or in the store!

Last night's class

Had a fun night last night!  It was a tough picture to paint, but I think everyone did a good job!  Yes, I think you did to Jeannie!   Hope I everyone has a great week ahead of them!

Tuesday, October 15th

Had so much fun on Tuesday night painting with these wonderful ladies!  We painted the Floral Daisies and I think that each picture turned out different and beautiful!  Thanks for coming out and painting with me!  Hope to see you all next week Tuesday Oct. 22nd at 6:00pm.  We are painting "Sand Dunes"  Should be a wonderful class!  I posted a couple of pictures from Tuesday night!  Enjoy!

Hello!!  We have lots to look forward to the next few months.  The holidays are almost here so I wanted to bring in holiday classes for us to paint.  Here is my calendar for the next few months.  Remember if there is something you would like to paint and it's not on the calendar let me know and we can add it!

Tuesday, September 10th

I had a ton of fun painting with wonderful people on Tuesday night.  I have put pictures of my awesome painters to the right of my post!  It was Ayden's birthday and he did an awesome job on his lighthouse picture!  Great job Ayden!

I so enjoyed painting with these two wonderful people!  It was great getting to know them a bit and seeing their eyes when they looked at their paintings and the surprise they had in how great they had done with their painting!

Kids Painting Class - Frogs and Ladybugs

My Bio

I was asked to prepare a bio of myself for Alexander Art.  So here goes! 

I am a painter of floral and landscapes in oils. I work in sessions of about two and a½ hours, and try to capture the beauty and light of the subject I am painting.  I love to paint and find that I can lose myself in painting.

I started painting years ago when my children were little.  I loved the way it made me feel.  I have painted with acrylics for as long as I can remember.       

I have taken classes in many different styles, Donna Dewberry, decorative painting, Bob Ross and William Alexander.  I began searching out an oils teacher.  I found a good one at our community college.   She taught the Bob Ross method of wet on wet.  I completely enjoyed it. I was/am hooked.  She told me about William Alexander and his certification program.  I am so excited and happy to be part of the Alexander Family.

I wanted to share with my family and friends some of my paintings!  I hope you enjoy them as much as I have making them!

I started painting years ago when my children were little.  I paid for many of our Christmas's with
craft faire money.  Next I started taking classes - Tole painting classes and loved it!  I have taken classes in the Donna Dewberry style, Bob Ross and I am certified with Alexander Art. 
I spent many hours painting so many different things!  From Halloween Pins, too my daughter's sweatshirts!  I love to paint!   Painting allows me to express myself in a way that I never knew was possible.  I want to share my love for painting with you.
